What measures need to be taken to prevent hydrogen burner flashback?
The method of preventing backfire is based on reducing the flame propagation speed, increasing the outlet velocity of the gas mixture, and ensuring a uniform velocity field. The anti backfire measures taken during installation and production mainly include the following aspects:
1. Choose a reasonable combustion method based on the properties of the gas. For gases with fast flame propagation speed (gases with high hydrogen content), atmospheric combustion and non flame combustion should not be used.
2. When using dirty gas, purification devices (such as filters) should be installed. When the purification device still cannot prevent scaling of the gas nozzle and mixing pipe, the combustion device should be descaled or adopt a structure that is easy to remove dirt, and a regular cleaning operating system should be specified.
When using water containing gas, a water separator should be used to avoid freezing of the gas nozzle and mixing tube in cold weather.
When the furnace is operating at low load, some burners should be turned off to ensure that the working load of the burner is not lower than the allowable minimum load.
During the processing, the minimum pressure value should be specified based on the nature of the gas and the form of the burner. When the gas pressure drops to the lower limit, the operation should be stopped to ensure that the outlet velocity of the gas air mixture is not less than the flame propagation velocity.
6. According to the nature of the gas, the structure and process of the burner, if flashback occurs due to the high temperature of the burner head, the burner head can be cooled to reduce the flame propagation speed.
